Catalyst Resources

Welcome to Catalyst Volleyball.  As a business and service it is important that we are in a mutual agreement of the following standards.  These expectations bring about consideration for officials, fellow parents, spectators and ultimately your Catalyst player.  We look forward to a terrific season of volleyball.  Thank you as you review our Code of Conduct and join in as part of the Catalyst Family.

As a parent/member of Catalyst Volleyball Club, your child is expected to conduct themselves in a manner that demonstrates good sportsmanship and a respect for others, as well as themselves, at all times.  Similarly, it is essential that you, as the parents, also display and model behavior that is consistent with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. As a parent, you will be expected to adhere to the following standards of behavior before, during and after any and all practices or competition throughout the volleyball season.

Good sportsmanship is always the top priority.

Respect all officials, coaches, athletes and spectators.

Abide by, and accept gracefully, the decisions of officials, no matter which team those decisions may favor.

Respect and care for the facilities in which practices and competitions are being held, and listen to those in authority.

Be polite and courteous as a spectator, and only use appropriate language.

Refrain from any behavior which might distract the players or interfere with the progress of a match.

Demonstrate appreciation for and applaud good play and never make derogatory remarks about officials, coaches or the athletes of any team.

Be aware of and abide by the contents of the club payment policy and club fees.

Should concerns arise resulting from a practice or competition, abide by the “24hour rule”’ that is coaches may not be approached regarding such concerns until at least 24 hours has passed since the circumstances giving rise to the concern.

3 Strikes:  1st Offense – written warning.  2nd Offense – parent suspended from attending remainder/next tourney.  3rd Offense – parent/player not invited back.

Mandatory club paperwork must be completed and returned by deadline for the player file. Players will not be allowed to practice until paperwork is completed and all club fees are current.

All player fees and deposits are non-refundable/non-transferable.

I understand and agree to be held accountable for adhering to the Parents’ Code of Conduct as described above, and as stated in the Catalyst payment schedule.

Catalyst Volleyball offers all-inclusive fees that provide the necessary funds for each team to compete for the entire season. Club fees are determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the level of the team, the uniform and apparel package, quantity, type, and the amount of on-the-court practice time. The fees also include funds to pay the fixed costs to run the Club, including, but not limited to, facility rental costs and maintenance, club insurance, equipment, USA Volleyball, AAU, and other registrations and sanction fees, payments for team coaching, coaches training and certifications, staff salaries, administrative expenses, technology, taxes, and other business expenses.

When you accept an offer to participate, you accept the financial obligations for the entire club fee for that season. No refunds, partial or full, will be made to those who choose not to participate or quit, or is removed for a policy violation, at any point after acceptance of the club contract and all future payments and payment plans become due. Prorated refunds may be considered at the discretion of the Club due to the cancellation of a season as a result of a government mandate and/or actions of applicable volleyball-sanctioning associations, such as the Lone Star Region of USA Volleyball and USA Volleyball. Refund amounts due to the cancellation of a season will be estimated based upon an approximation of unused non-fixed costs associated with, and refunds received by the club as a result of, the cancellation of the season that is directly associated with the player and their team.

Catalyst Volleyball reserves the right to waive this Refund Policy at its sole discretion at any time. Such waiver shall generally be in response to extenuating or highly unusual circumstances, and in no event shall the Club be obligated to waive this Refund Policy.
