Quick Facts: Loves pickleball and soccer, born in South Africa raised in Southern California
Tracey Herrera brings passion, vision, and organization to every detail of the club. With years of experience leading teams, building community programs, and managing operations, Tracey has helped shape Catalyst into more than just a volleyball club—it’s a family.
A graduate of the University of San Diego, Tracey studied Child Development and Elementary Education. It was during a psychology class there that she first met her husband, Tobias—a connection that would later grow into both a family and a shared vision for Catalyst Volleyball.
Growing up, Tracey played soccer, and that same passion for athletics has been passed down to their son, Tobias V, who now plays soccer at the University of Indianapolis. She believes that at the core of every great youth team is a group of parents who want the best for every player on the team—not just their own. This philosophy has guided the way Catalyst fosters community, teamwork, and support across families and athletes.
She is deeply committed to creating an environment where athletes not only grow in their skills on the court, but also in confidence, teamwork, and character off the court. Her leadership style blends professionalism with genuine care, ensuring every player and family feels seen, supported, and valued.
Beyond running Catalyst, Tracey is devoted to her own family—her husband Tobias, and their children, Tobias V and Madison—who all share a love for athletics and community. Together, the Herrera family continues to grow Catalyst with the vision of providing opportunity, excellence, and lasting impact to athletes across Fort Bend County and the greater Houston area.
